Four year UG Programme

The Four-Year Undergraduate Programme (FYUGP) was created to address current issues and adapt to the changing needs of students, businesses, and society. Recognizing the importance of curriculum, it needs regular updates to reflect evolving economic and social factors. Higher education should focus on practical and technical skills that students can use in their chosen fields. While more people have access to higher education, there are concerns about the quality and relevance of what they learn, especially in terms of job skills. As the world becomes more connected, education must teach 21st-century skills to help students succeed. Higher education institutions should also be socially responsible and contribute to a knowledge-based society that promotes sustainable development. To create a strong knowledge society and support a knowledge economy, the Kerala government has started to reform higher education. They formed three groups to suggest changes to higher education policy, laws and regulations, and exams. These changes led to a complete restructuring of the undergraduate curriculum, resulting in the creation of the Four-Year Undergraduate Programme (FYUGP).
