Founded in 1931 by the visionary Rev. Father Basilius Panattu, the Little Flower Congregation (CST Fathers) envisioned a future where individuals could reach their full potential. True to this vision, the congregation ventured into technical education, empowering young men and women to contribute meaningfully to nation-building.
In the early 1990s, St. Thomas Province of the Little Flower Congregation initiated its ministry in Cherupuzha with a humble endeavor – a parallel institution for students facing financial constraints or geographical challenges. This pioneering initiative laid the groundwork for the establishment of Navajyothi College in 2010, a dream realized for countless students and their families.
Navajyothi College, affiliated with Kannur University, stands as a testament to St. Thomas Province's commitment to integral human development. By fostering communities of solidarity, justice, and equality, the college aims to empower young men and women in the Malabar region.
This educational apostolate is deeply rooted in the mission of Christ, serving as a spiritual ministry that unites the entire human family. Navajyothi College is more than just an institution; it's a beacon of hope, illuminating the path to a brighter future for generations to come.
We are driven by a profound desire to revitalize human lives, communities, and the broader society. Our commitment extends to actively contributing to the betterment of India and its people, participating wholeheartedly in nation-building.
A key objective of our vision is to establish micro-models of harmonious communities that transcend the divisions of caste, creed, and culture, which often hinder our humanity. Inspired by Jesus' teachings, we seek to break down the age-old barriers that separate us, fostering a Kingdom of God on earth characterized by inclusivity and non-discrimination.
To those engaged in the ministry of education through this college, I extend my heartfelt wishes for success and happiness in their lives. May your endeavours contribute to the creation of a more just, equitable, and compassionate world.
